It’s official – we’ll be seeing 2PM’s Junho and YoonA in the new rom-com series ‘King The Land’ (literal title).
King The Land is about Goo Won, an heir who can’t stand fake smiles, and Chun Sa Rang, who always has a bright smile due to the nature of her profession, setting out to find the happy days where they can smile for real. “King the Land” refers to a VVIP business lounge, a place of dreams for hoteliers.
Junho plays Go Woon, who has been thrown into a battle of inheritance for the King Group, which owns hotels, an airline, and distribution companies. He is intelligent, was born with elegance, and has chic charms. Despite having it all, he has one weakness – his terrible sense when it comes to dating.
YoonA takes on the role of Chun Sa Rang. Chun Sa Rang is someone who brightens the world with her smile. She lands a job at King Hotel, which gave her the happiest memories as a young girl, and grows up as a person while facing all sorts of prejudice and misunderstanding.
The two have shown an exceptional performance of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita” at the MBC Gayo Daejejeon earlier this year. Naturally, expectations for their chemistry to be shown in rom-com drama are through the roof.
Meanwhile, King The Land has tabbed All Of Us Are Dead writer Chun Sung Il as its creator. It’ll be produced by npio Entertainment, which has created The Red Sleeve and Forecasting Love and Weather. The filming will begin in the fall after finalizing the full cast.
