On April 16th, 2NE1 made a surprise comeback to perform at Coachella Vallet Music and Arts Festival.
CL performed at Coachella on April 16th as part of 88rising’s “Heads In The Clouds Forever” set. The audience at the American music festival was treated to a special surprise as 2NE1 members joined CL on stage and lit up the venue with their historic smash single “I AM THE BEST.”
Reports say that there was a minor incident during their surprise comeback stage in which Sandara Park lost her shoes while delivering her performance. However, that doesn’t seem to have bothered her at all in completing 2NE1’s stage in success as she went barefoot to continue her part.

It’s said that CL played a key role in making their reunion happen. Not a single fan or an insider knew about their plan until the members made their appearances at Coachella. The representatives of CL’s agency revealed, “CL got invited to perform at this year’s event, so we decided to invite the rest of the members to surprise the fans who have been waiting patiently for their reunion.”

The last time all four members performed as a group was at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), making their surprising reunion their first in over six years.
The act made their debut in 2009 and officially announced their disbandment in November of 2016. The following year, they released a track called “Goodbye” to bid farewell to their fans in January, 2017.
However, fans have speculated their reunion based on several photos of the members together on Instagram.
