BTS’ James Bond-inspired “Butter” at the Grammys has taken the world by storm.
On the 4th, Billboard ranked “Butter” the first among all the 2022 Grammy performances. They wrote, “Smooth like butter, indeed. The Grammy-nominated septet took their ‘criminal undercover’ lyrics to a whole new level with their 007-inspired performance of their Billboard Hot 100-topping track. Jin, Jimin, V, RM, J-Hope, Suga and Jungkook dodged neon-blue lasers during a sleek choreography sequence and transformed the whole Grammys stage into a secret agent headquarters, proving that their creativity is equally as impressive as their musical talent.”
Rolling Stone has put BTS’ “Butter” at No. 13 on its “The 25 Greatest Grammy Performances of All Time” list. “One night in Vegas: BTS took the stage with the swagger of a James Bond squad of super-spies, in Rat Pack suit,” they introduced the performance. “But they were on fire with confidence and charisma. Bonus points for the way ‘Butter’ began with V whispering in Olivia Rodrigo’s ear”whatever he told her, it looks like it must have been shocking.”
Besides them, MTV News, Variety, People, USA Today, and New York Post all have covered BTS’ appearance at the 64th Grammys.
Starting with Jin giving orders and Jungkook descending from the ceiling, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and V appeared from among the audience, creating a unique opening sequence. On top of that, choreography using cards and jackets, a shockingly impressive dance break, and group dance with a bunch of dancers – it was a night to remember for ARMY around the world.
Meanwhile, BTS will host “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE ” LAS VEGAS” at Allegiant Stadium on the 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th.
