Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun opened up about playing their roles in Thirty-Nine in an interview with ‘JTBC JTALK.’
Son Ye Jin first talked about the romantic relationship between Cha Mi Jo and Kim Seon Woo (Yeon Woo Jin). She said, “Seon Woo is like a light in Mi Jo’s life. At first, she didn’t believe in love, but she goes through changes after meeting with Seon Woo. He always stands by her even in difficult times like when she learns about her friend’s impending death. He is basically like a dream boyfriend for every girl.”
Jeon Mi Do also shared what it was like filming the show. The actress noted, “Last December, I filmed the show with the thought that I’ve got only one month left in my life.” She recalled that playing Jeong Chan Young, who faced an impending end to her life, was a meaningful experience. She added, “The way I treat time has changed. I thought a lot about death. After spending 4 to 5 months thinking about death, I found that the most important thing in life is the people whom I love,” explaining that she has been spending her time with those who she loves lately.
Kim Ji Hyun wrapped up the interview by sending heartfelt message to the viewers. She said, “Thirty-Nine will bring you both laughter and tears. It is a well-made show that will make you think about the special things around you. We have worked very hard for this project, and I hope you will love it.”
