Lee Kyu Han has been acquitted on all charges of assault due to insufficient evidence. The actor, who was previously charged with assault, shared his thoughts on his social media account on the 27th.
Reports in August of 2020 say that the Seoul Gangnam Police Station forwarded a case regarding Lee Kyu Han to the prosecution. The case was over whether Lee and his friends had drunkenly assaulted a driver in Gangnam at the time. The driver claimed that he had been attacked and filed a request for investigation with the police.
On January 27th, the Seoul District Prosecutors’ Office dismissed the assault charges against the actor due to insufficient evidence. Lee Kyu Han is reportedly preparing legal actions to press charges against the driver for making a false accusation.
The actor wrote the following post on his Instagram account following the news:
Hello, this is Lee Kyu Han.
It almost took a year and a half to get this result, which I thought was the only option that made sense. I am filled with emotions and very overwhelmed. But I also think that I should have been more careful as a public entertainer. I sincerely apologize to everyone involved in the initiatives that I harmed with this occurrence. Also, I would like to thank everyone who trusted me from very the beginning to the end. Thank you.
