Dazed Magazine has released pictures for its November issue, featuring actress Lee Yoo Mi, who made her presence known through the Netflix Original Series Squid Game.
In an interview following the photo shoot, Lee Yoo Mi opened up about her acceptance speech at the 2021 Buil Film Awards where she won Rookie of the Year for her role in the movie Young Adult Matters.
Lee Yoo Mi said, “The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful at the awards ceremony. I thought that even if I did win an award, it wouldn’t feel real. I attended the ceremony casually, not expecting an award, but I heard my name being called. From that moment on, it felt weird because I’d never received an award before. There, someone came up to me, praised me for what I did, and handed me the trophy. Everything felt very new to me, and I was proud because it felt like I was being rewarded for all the efforts I had put into acting.”
When asked how she wanted to be remembered, Lee Yoo Mi responded, saying, “I want to become an actress who makes people become curious about myself.” She continued, “I want to make people wonder about my work and the roles that I am about to play or have just played.”
