‘Squid Game’ Star Lee Yoo Mi to Play the Lead Role in the New Film by Director Han Jae Yi

Squid Game star Lee Yoo Mi has confirmed her new project.

Recently, Lee Yoo Mi garnered global attention for her role as Ji Young in Netflix’s hit series Squid Game. After the series was released, the number of her Instagram followers soared to 4.9 million, provoking her worldwide popularity.

And on the 6th, OSEN reported that the actress was cast to play the lead in the new film We Can’t Go to Heaven, But We Can Love (working title). It tells the story of the love and friendships of girls in the summer of 1999, the year that many believed would be the end of the world. Lee Yoo Mi will play student Ye Ji.

Previously, Lee Yoo Mi received glowing reviews for her performance in Young Adult Matters, which shocked the world with the unconventional topic. And most recently, she left a deep impression as hostage Ban So Yeon in Hwang Jung Min’s movie Hostage: Missing Celebrity.

Meanwhile, We Can’t Go to Heaven, But We Can Love is a new film by I Can’t and Take Me Home director Han Jae Yi. Joining Lee Yoo Mi are Lovers of the Red Sky actor Kim Hyun Mok and House of Hummingbird actress Park Soo Yeon.
