The new Netflix series Bloodhound‘s attempt to cast Lee Do Hyun and Kwak Dong Yeon fell through.
On the 6th, Sports Chosun reported that both Lee Do Hyun and Kwak Dong Yeon decided not to appear on Bloodhound (literal title). Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series tells the story of three men trying to dig their way out of debt. It will be produced as an action noir drama.
Lee and Kwak were offered the lead roles as soon as they rose to stardom with Sweet Home and Vincenzo, respectively. Both actors left a deep impression on the viewers as rising stars. Especially, they garnered global fans’ attention through Netflix.
However, today, it was confirmed that Lee and Kwak’s names wouldn’t be added to Bloodhound‘s cast. Now, the production crew has made a new offer to an actor, who has shown success on both big and small screens.
Meanwhile, Midnight Runners and The Divine Fury director Kim Joo Hwan helm the series, and Seed Film and Studio N. present the work. By producing this 8-part series, Seed Film will join hands with Netflix once again, following the upcoming Netflix film Moral Sense.
