[Weekly TV Top 10] ‘The Penthouse 3’ Reclaims the Top Spot Despite the Many Controversies

Drama Ranking for the 1st Week of September

SBS’s The Penthouse 3 reclaimed the top spot after a long time, but it’s still tainted with many controversies. In episode 13, the drama used footage of actual accidents to show the collapse of Hera Palace, coming heavily under fire. SBS’s new series Lovers of the Red Sky debuted at No. 2. There were some disappointments over the visual effect of the demon king and the child actors’ acting in the premiere episode. But from episode 2, Kim Yoo Jung and Aho Hyo Seop showed up in earnest, raising expectations. tvN’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha came in 3rd. The show’s sailing smoothly with enthusiastic reactions towards Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho’s chemistry. JTBC’s new series Lost debuted at No. 5. The actors’ performances are excellent, but many showed disappointments over the unkind development and gloomy characters. At this rate, the series may end up being a drama for the few fans. After canceling one episode, tvN’s Hospital Playlist 2 fell to 4th place.
