Kim Jong Kook to Drop OST for Webtoon ‘Joseon’s Ban on Marriage’

Kim Jong Kook will amaze his fans with his charming voice.

Stealing the Tears (literal title), the first album of webtoon Joseon’s Ban on Marriage sung by Kim Jong Kook, will drop today at 6 PM KST.

“Stealing the Tears” is the theme song of the second male lead Lee Shin Wook in the webtoon. It sings about the pain of letting go of his love. It’s a medium-tempo song based on bossa nova, and the lyrical melody and orchestration of the acoustic guitar stand out. Kim Jong Kook will complete a well-made track with his unique voice.

Joseon’s Ban on Marriage is a webtoon-adaptation of a web novel of the same name. The story is set in the Joseon era when marriage was forbidden in times of choosing a queen or a crown princess. Joseon’s Ban on Marriage begins when Ye So Rang, who can be possessed by the dead crown princess, shows up in front of King Yi Hun, who became a tyrant after losing his crown princess.

This upcoming OST sings about the sad emotions and situations of the main characters. The lyrics for “Stealing the Tears” talk about a man’s wish to steal the tears of the woman he loves so he could feel the pain for her.

In December last year, Kim Jong Kook made his comeback as a singer after 8 years with “Forget me not.” This coming OST will once again please his fans.
