NCT’s Taeil Broke the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Time to Reach 1M Followers on Instagram

NCT’s Taeil has put his name on the Guinness World Record.

Taeil opened up his personal Instagram accounts on the 6th. He gained more than 1 million followers in just 1 hour and 45 minutes after uploading his first post. According to SM Entertainment, he has broken the world record for the fastest time to reach 1 million followers on Instagram.

Guinness World Record also announced the news under the title “NCT’s Taeil smashes Instagram followers record.”

They even briefly listed out NCT’s recent outstanding performance. “NCT 127’s second full-length album NCT #127 Neo Zone, released in March 2020, remained on Billboard 200 for ten weeks after entering the Top 5, while NCT’s second full-length album RESONANCE, released in October of the same year, set record as double million seller,” they wrote.

In response, Taeil also expressed his Joy. “I never imagined that I would become a Guinness World Record holder, but thank you for your great love and support,” he shared. “I will try to communicate more through social media in the future.”

According to the Guinness World Record, the previous holder of the title was Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. He set the record at four hours and one minute when he joined Instagram in November 2020 to announce the birth of his daughter. Besides him, Pope Francis, David Beckham, and Jennifer Aniston were also named in the Instagram followers record.

Meanwhile, NCT 127 (NCT’s sub-unit that Taeil belongs to) will drop the new full album in September.
