(G)I-DLE may make their comeback as a whole group in the third quarter.

According to The Bell, Cube Entertainment is planning to expand its major artists’ promotions to drive performance.

Cube’s first-quarter sales and operating profits reached 16.3 billion KRW (about $14 million) and 2.2 billion KRW (about $1.9 million), thanks to (G)I-DLE’s success. The company also performed well in the second quarter with Jeon Soyeon’s solo album and Yuqi’s appearances in variety shows.

And in the coming third quarter, The Bell expected (G)I-DLE’s comeback as a whole group and rookie girl group Lughtsum’s active promotions.

However, (G)I-DLE’s Soojin was caught up in the school violence scandal earlier. In response, Soojin and the agency denied the allegations and filed a complaint against the false information. However, despite all their efforts to clear her name, the controversy is still ongoing.

To make matters worse, actress Seo Shin Ae, the alleged victim of Soojin’s bullying, admitted to the allegations of school violence related to Soojin. Since then, neither Soojin nor Cube has made any further comments regarding the issue.
