MBC has confirmed the production of Dr. Lawyer as its new 2022 drama. And So Ji Sub has joined the project as the male lead.
Dr. Lawyer centers around a genius surgeon who became a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything in a fabricated surgery. Soon, he joins forces with a prosecutor specialized in medical crimes who also had lost his family and lover in surgery. Together, they punish those who believe that the value of a person’s life can be determined by one’s money and influence and console those who have been harmed.
For this highly-anticipated project, Class of Lies writer Jang Hong Chul and Haechi and Iljimae director Lee Yong Sung have come together.
So Ji Sub will be playing a medical malpractice lawyer Han Yi Han who was a gifted surgeon certified in general and thoracic surgery. Four years ago, a patient had passed away after receiving a successful surgery. Because of this, he lost everything, including his medical license. And soon, he turns into a medical lawyer and starts digging into the truth behind the case that ruined his life.
This will be his comeback four years after Terius Behind Me, in which he had played a legendary black agent. This time, he will transform into a man who has a unique career and complex inner life with his unique charms.
Meanwhile, Dr. Lawyer will begin its production in earnest to premiere in the first half of 2022.
