According to The Daily Sports, Kim has chosen Delivery Knight as his small-screen comeback project and is waiting for the filming to begin. In response, AM Entertainment shared that the actor was offered the role and is positively reviewing it.

Delivery Knight is based on the webtoon of the same name. Set in a future where air pollution became a serious issue, people only live their lives by having everything delivered. Here, ‘delivery guys’ will play a vital role in people’s lives and it will give us a chance to reflect on how we take the service for granted in our everyday lives.

Should Kim joins the project, he will play the legendary delivery man named 5-8. He was born in an ordinary household, but he gets implanted with a QR code on his left wrist due to a mistake made by an employee of the community’s resident services. With a simple desire of living in the special district, he becomes a soldier.

In the meantime, Kim, who made a full recovery from nasopharyngeal cancer in 2019, safely returned to the entertainment industry. He has recently finished filming Choi Dong Hoon’s new SF blockbuster Alien + People. Plus, he is also in talks to join the upcoming series Our Blues. If he hops on Delivery Knight production, it will be his first Netflix work and his first comeback with a title role.

Meanwhile, Delivery Knight won the “E-IP Pitching” award at the 2018 Asian Film Market, producing its potential as original content. It’s the work of Lee Yungyun, and Cho Ui Seok will direct the series.
