Ok Taek Yeon Says Jang Han Seok Was an Attractive Villain in ‘Vincenzo’

Ok Taek Yeon, who played villain Jang Joon Woo in the tvN’s series Vincenzo, shared his farewell through his agency 51K.

Q1. How do you feel about finishing your work?

I tried acting as a villain for the first time in my career, and I will never forget the eight months I’ve spent framing the character. Thank you so much to all the viewers who loved Vincenzo.

Q2. What was your impression when you read the script for the first time? �

When I found out that fresh intern lawyer Jang Joon Woo was the best villain of Vincenzo and a dark character with a twist, I wanted the role so bad. The role was so intriguing because the devilish viciousness was disguised by the kind face of the youngest and sloppy lawyer, Jang Joon Woo. His hidden side of manipulating and killing anyone recklessly for his own benefit was fascinating. I thought it would be an opportunity to broaden my acting career.

Q3. � It seems that it was not easy to get a tone of acting as the character is revealed almost at the end.

Jang Joon Woo and Jang Han Seok are different in many ways, but they are one person. I thought Jang Han Seok was an actor who played the part of Jang Joon Woo.

Q4. What do you think about the ending of Jang Han Suk?

I think the ending can be described as the word ‘punishment of virtue.’ As the story progresses, Han Seok’s malicious actions are revealed one by one. Because I’ve been thinking about wanting him to be punished terribly, I liked it because it was a quick ending that is probably impossible in our reality.

Q5. How was it working with other actors?

All the actors who work together in our series were the best. Whenever I acted together, I was blown away by how amazing they are in every moment. And I was so grateful for working together with people who are in harmony with each other on the scene all the time. It was a very happy set, I would say.

Q6. What do you think Vincenzo means to you after all?

It seems like just yesterday that I read the script for the first time. However, after finishing the last shoot, I feel sad and free at the same time. It’s finally over. As many people loved the series, I think I’m so lucky to be part of the amazing work. I believe the experience I had with Vincenzo will give me a new motivation for my future career as an actor.

Q7. Any plans and schedules to share in advance

I am waiting for my movie to be released, Hansan: dragon. And I will be meeting the audience again with the tvN series Eosa and Joy (title to be confirmed)later this year.
