Kara celebrated the 14th anniversary of their debut and expressed their longing for Goo Hara.
On March 8th, Gyuri posted several pictures of her celebrating the big day with her fellow Kara members. She also wrote a short message, “A few days ago, we gathered to celebrate the 14th anniversary of Kara’s debut. We have spent a long time together, so today was more meaningful to us. Thank you, Jiyoung, for preparing flowers and cakes as a surprise gift.”
Gyuri, Jiyoung, Seungyeon, and Nicole are posing with a celebration cake in the photos released. Kara officially disbanded, but the four members continued their friendship, delighting their fans.
Soon after, a fan commented, “I wish Hara were with you guys.” In response, Gyuri answered, “Hara… let’s just think that she couldn’t make it because private gatherings of 5 or more people are prohibited.”
Other fans who read Gyuri’s comment also expressed their longing for the late artist, saying, “Yeah, let’s think that” or “You’re right. Hara is just sleeping in.”
Meanwhile, Kara made their debut in 2007 and received great love with songs like “Pretty Girl” and “Honey.” The group initially started as a four-member group. But when Kim Sung Hee left the team while Hara and Jiyoung became new members, Kara became a five-member group. In 2014, Jiyoung and Nicole left the team, and Youngji joined the team. After many ups and downs, Kara officially disbanded in 2016.
