Taegugki is to officially be re-released as a 4K remastered version on the 17th of this month.
The film directed by Kang Je Gyu and produced by Kang Je Gyu Film was first released in 2004. As a movie about the complicated tragedy of the brothers during the Korean War, it quickly became the talk of the town.
Especially as director Kang Je Gyu worked with Jang Dong Gun and Won Bin, it became the second Korean film to draw more than 10 million watchers, attracting a total of 11.74 million moviegoers.
The remastered version is expected to bring the brothers back to screens with their conflict amongst vivid scenes of the war, as they face their catastrophic fates. The tragedy is to be once again portrayed through the re-release of the film.
Taegugki will be re-released on March 17th.
