Ahn Bo Hyun is positively considering his role in the new webtoon-adapted drama Yumi’s Cells.
The actor’s agency FN Entertainment shared on Wednesday, “He was offered a role in the drama Yumi’s Cells, and we are positively discussing it.”
By taking full advantage of the original webtoon, Yumi’s Cells is expected to be a pleasant and realistic drama. The original webtoon goes along with the perspective of the cells in an ordinary office worker, Yumi’s head.
Earlier, it was reported that Kim Go Eun has been cast for the main character Yumi. The role Ahn has been offered is Gu Woong, a calm but pure-hearted man who eventually becomes more romantic with Yumi.
Yumi’s Cells plans to begin filming in the first half of 2021. The script is written by Memories of the Alhambra’s screenwriter Song Jae Jung, Find Me in Your Memory’s screenwriter Kim Yoon Joo and rookie writer Kim Kyung Ran. Familiar Wife, Shopping King Louie, and The King’s Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang’s director Lee Sang Yeob will helm the production.
