Singer and actor Park Ji Hoon is to make an appearance in KBS 2TV’s new Mon-Tues series From A Distance, A Green Spring. To kick off in June, the series is to provide viewers a thrilling romance on campus with the refreshing energy of youths.
The new drama From A Distance, A Green Spring (directed by Kim Jeong Hyun, written by Ko Yeon Soo) is about the reality of people in their 20s, who are expected to live the blue spring of their lives. Like the famous quote “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot,” the work depicts young people struggling with their lives while they seem to be enjoying their youths. It is based on a webtoon of the same name.
Park Ji Hoon will be playing Yeo Joon, a kind and handsome freshman who grew up in an affluent household. Whilst he looks sociable and affable, he has pains that no one knows of. As Park Ji Hoon received huge attention for his great performance as Gong Joo Young in his previous work in Love Revolution, it is anticipated how the singer will portray the warm yet sharp character in the upcoming series.
He stated that the script was interesting as there were many things he could relate to within it. “As much as it is a story about the 20s, I was able to empathize. Yeo Joon’s character requires a lot of thought and effort as I have to depict a duality within him. I am doing my best to prepare, so please show us a lot of love and support,” he added.
From A Distance, A Green Spring will have Park Ji Hoon as Yeo Joon, Bae In Hyuk as Nam Soo Hyun, and Kang Min Ah as Kim Soo Bin. KBS 2TV’s upcoming Mon-Tues series has officially begun production.
