Korean beauty brand Peripera has deleted pictures of (G)I-DLE’s Soojin, who has been named the school perpetrator in the recent controversy, from its official social media accounts.
On March 1st KST, Peripera removed Soojin’s pictorials from its social media. The company previously made it official that they selected Soojin as their new face and published her pictorial on the 19th of last month.
But when allegations of school violence surfaced, they told Sports Kyunghyang that they are “debating whether to continue her as their model.”
Meanwhile, Soojin admitted that she was never a model student but refuted any involvement of school violence through a post she wrote on the fan cafe. However, as the controversy continued, DCInside’s (G)I-DLE gallery issued a statement on the 23rd, saying, “The agency denied school violence, but more revelations and reports continued. … Fans can’t support a singer who doesn’t admit the issues or properly explain the allegations. If the controversy is not clearly resolved, we can no longer support Soojin.”
