Earlier today, JYP Entertainment stated that Stray Kids’ Hyunjin personally met and apologized to his former classmates who accused him of being a school perpetrator.

And later, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin also posted a handwritten apology letter on Stray Kids official Instagram.

“Hello, this is Stray Kids’s Hyunjin.

First of all, I sincerely apologize to those who were hurt by my inappropriate comments and actions during my school days. Looking back on myself and on my actions during a time when I was immature, I feel ashamed and feel like I have no grounds for excuses. I have now realized that as someone who did know how to respect others in the past, my words and actions deeply hurt others. I know that I’m too late, but I intend to deeply reflect on my actions.

Regardless of whether I intended or not, I believe that it is unforgivable to inflict harm on another to such a degree that they could not overcome the traumas of those scars. I am deeply reflecting on myself because I know well that the wounds I inflicted in the past will not disappear completely just because I apologized and they accepted my apology.

I am ashamed, but I would still like to thank those who allowed me to belatedly apologize in person for my past mistakes and to deliver words of apologies through this letter. To those I could not meet in person but who nonetheless felt hurt by my inappropriate behaviors in the past, I ask for forgiveness through this letter.

I apologize for disappointing so many people who supported me.”
