She’s cute the first time you see her, and she’s even cuter when you see her the second time. This is the sentence that will describe Park Ye Rin, “Kot Nim” in Netflix film Space Sweepers.

Space Sweepers, set in the year 2092, is about the crew of space junk collector ship The Victory jumping into a dangerous deal after discovering a humanoid robot named Dorothy that’s known to be a weapon of mass destruction.

Kot Nim is a child known as Dorothy, a weapons of mass destruction robot by space developer UTS. Many expected her to be a scary creature that will explode any minute, dangering everyone around her. However, she was just a kid with a bright charm that puts a smile on our faces.

Of course, her chemistry with The Victory crews are outstanding. She disarms Kim Tae Ho (Song Joong Ki), Captain Jang (Kim Tae Ri), Tiger Park (Jin Seon Kyu), and Robot Eobdong (Yoo Hae Jin) with her cuteness, and her unique relationship with robot Eobdong adds delightful charm to the story.

Child actor Park Ye Rin, who plays Kot Nim, is the mascot of Space Sweepers. Song Joong Ki showed his affection for the kid, saying, “We were a bit cranky towards her on the film, but everyone adored her on the set. I don’t think there was not one staff or actor who didn’t love her. She is such a lovely creature. Even now, when actors gather, we talk about Ye Rin.”

“Ye Rin and the girl who played my daughter Soon Yi are the same age. So she (Ye Rin) helped me a lot in terms of acting. I had more scenes where I worked with Ye Rin, and the scenes with Soon Yi were filmed later. So all the scenes that I worked closely with Ye Rin helped me a ton,” he continued.

Now, more global attention is being focused on Park Ye Rin. Song shared, “I heard that she became a hot topic overseas. She’s worth every attention. I just hope that she grows up healthy and well.”
