iKON will return to the K-pop scene in early March.

According to an industry insider, iKON plans to release a new album in early March. With that goal in mind, iKON members will shoot the new music video this week in earnest.

If they make their comeback next month, iKON will release new music for the first time in about a year and a month since i DECIDE. Rumor has it that the members are burning their will than ever as the hiatus has prolonged.

In particular, iKON has confirmed their appearance on Mnet’s survival show Kingdom, set to premiere in April, so their comeback is expected to draw more attention from the music industry. iKON’s appearance in the show came as YG Entertainment and Mnet recently reconciled in about 4 years.

The group faced a crisis in 2019 when the team was reorganized as a 6-member group. Nevertheless, iKON achieved plausible results by topping iTunes album charts in 24 countries with i DECIDE, proving their global power.

After the report of their appearance in Kingdom hit the wire, iKON personally expressed their love for their fans, saying, “We will answer with awesome stage for the fans who have waited for so long.”

A high-ranking official from YGE hinted, “Rather than putting meaning to the competition and ranking, we will do our best to support the group so that they can perform good music and stage.” Naturally, attention focuses on the full-fledged activities iKON will show this year.
