GOT7 members will go about their own ways.
On January 19, JYP Entertainment released its official statement and announced GOT7’s departure from the agency.
“Hello, this is JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP).
JYP has had in-depth discussions with the members ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract on January 19.
As a result, both sides have agreed not to renew the contract, hoping for a new future.
GOT7 has been a global idol group representing K-pop for 7 years since their debut on January 16, 2014.
We genuinely express our gratitude to GOT7 for being a part of the growth of K-pop and JYP, as well as I GOT7 and all fans who have been the impetus behind GOT7’s activities with their endless support since their debut.
Although our official relationship has come to an end, JYP will continue to sincerely support the new future that the GOT7 members will advance into.”
