Dong Ho, a former member of U-KISS, is returning to Korea after working as a DJ and an office worker in Japan to serve in the military.
“It’s been more than three years since I started living in Japan, and I’m very grateful to many people who helped in different ways,” he said. “I’d be lying if I said I’m not somewhat disheartened, but I’d appreciate it if everyone cheered me on until I come back to Japan.”
Dong Ho has previously been active as he debuted as U-KISS in 2008 and announced hit songs such as I’m Not Easy and Neverland. After he left the team in 2013, Dong Ho got married in 2015 and gave birth to a son in the following year. However, he chose to get a divorce in 2018, after three years of marriage.
Since then, Dong Ho has been working as a DJ and opened the second part of his life. U-KISS’s Soo Hyun recently appeared on MBC’s Radio Star and revealed that he is working as a DJ and a corporate executive in Japan.
The following is the full transcript of Dong Ho’s post on his SNS.
Hello. Is everyone having a nice New Year? I’m writing as I have something to announce today.
I am returning to Korea at the end of this month after putting a pause on my life in Japan for a while to fulfill my duty in the military. It’s been more than three years since I started living in Japan, and I’m very grateful to many people who helped in different ways.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not somewhat disheartened, but I’d appreciate it if everyone cheered me on until I come back to Japan.
I hope everyone stays clear from COVID-19 and wish you all the best in the new year. Thank you.
