BLACKPINK held their ground in NEW K.ID’s Weekly Chart. BLACKPINK’s first studio album, ‘THE ALBUM’ was recently named in Billboard’s ‘The 50 Best Albums of 2020: Staff Picks’. Billboard commented that BLACKPINK is the “revolution”. Furthermore, the editor added, “THE ALBUM not only builds on the foursome’s string of hits since their 2016 debut, it also provides the perfect entry point for soon-to-be Blinks to embrace the girls as they continue their meteoric rise.” BLACKPINK’s ‘ICE CREAM’ featuring Selena Gomez was also selected as one of ‘The 50 Best Songs of 2020′ by Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone mentioned that BLACKPINK made “their power move on the American airwaves” with this song.

Coming in at #2 is WINNER. WINNER’s MINO was recently awarded the ‘Issue Trend Award’ at the ‘Korea Fashion Awards’. In the annual government-sponsored fashion event, MINO also known as SONG MIN-HO took home the ‘Issue Trend Award’ given to artists who most promoted Korean fashion in the digital media setting. MINO continues to expand his presence from music to fashion, photography, art, variety programs, and more, showcasing his diverse talent as a celebrity. Last year, MINO was also selected as the Korean global brand model to make an appearance at Paris Fashion Week.
RED VELVET, ranked at #3, recently had a music video of their debut track, ‘Happiness’, reach more than 100 million views on the streaming website, YouTube. This makes it the 9th RED VELVET music video that has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. ‘Happiness’ was RED VELVET’s debut single that was released on August 3rd, 2014. The music video accurately captures RED VELVET members’ multifaceted and dynamic nature, showcasing their amazing performance. ‘Happiness’ joins the list of ‘Bad Boy’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Peek-A-Boo’, ‘Russian Roulette’, ‘Dumb Dumb’, ‘Red Flavor’, ‘Ice Cream Cake’, and ‘Power Up’ as RED VELVET’s songs that gained more than 100 million views on YouTube.
At #5 is STRAY KIDS who broke into top spots for Tumblr and Spotify’s K-Pop chart. Tumblr, the beloved social media platform released the ‘2020 TOP K-POP GROUP’ chart in ‘Year in Review’ in which STRAY KIDS placed 2nd. Stray Kids was the second most mentioned K-Pop star on Tumblr following BTS. STRAY KIDS also was placed 4th on Spotify’s ‘TOP K-POP ARTISTS GLOBALLY’ in ‘2020 Wrapped’. Furthermore, the now global K-Pop group was placed in the top 10 of Billboard’s ‘World Album Artist’ in ‘2020 YEAR-END CHARTS’.
