Recently, Chinese netizens have hit the roof over BLACKPINK coming in contact with pandas at Everland’s amusement park zoo.
In the recently dropped teaser for the last episode of “24/365 with BLACKPINK,” BLACKPINK members were seen meeting the baby pandas under zookeepers’ supervision and came in contact with them.
However, as soon as the teaser was unveiled, Chinese netizens attacked the group and even the Korean government for “mistreating” the pandas. Even media outlets took to their social media to complain that BLACKPINK touched the pandas without gloves and with their makeup on.
At the continued attack of C-netizens over K-pop idols, K-netizens rolled up their sleeves to prove that they are unreasonable attacking Korean celebrities. One netizen even created an article on an online community that shows multiple instances where Chinese celebrities and people from other countries holding/touching baby pandas with makeup on and no gloves and masks.
As no issues were stirred up when Chinese stars touched the pandas without gloves (some even have makeup on), K-netizens are saying to stop applying a double standard.
