Block B’s Park Kyung will be enlisting soon.

According to Park Kyung’s label KQ Entertainment, Park Kyung will join the military on Oct. 19.

Park Kyung was initially scheduled to join the military in January, but he postponed his enlistment once due to a police investigation regarding his “sajaegi” remarks. On the day of his enlistment, he plans to quietly enter the training camp without informing fans of the location and time.

In November last year, Park Kyung raised the suspicion of “sajaegi” (chart manipulation) by mentioning singers’ real names, including Vibe, Song Ha Ye, and Lim Jae Hyun. He was later indicted on charges of defamation and received a summary order of 5 million won (about 4,276 USD) in fines.

Then recently, he was embroiled in a controversy over school violence when a netizen who claimed to be the victim of his school bully wrote a lengthy post. Soon, Park Kyung admitted to the fact and apologized, but the controversy has only grown even more.
