Composers Answer to the Question, “Do idols really compose the songs or is it more of a stunt?”

Professional composers talked about misunderstandings and truths about idols’ participation in composing.

In the recent video posted on the YouTube channel “AYO AYO,” two composers Kim Ki Hyun and Yoo Joo Yi answered various questions about idols.

To the question, “There are some haters who say ‘idols don’t really participate in the composing.’ Is this true?,” they answered, “I can tell you this for sure. Idols who participate in composing, they are really good at it. A lot of them lead the songwriting process. Many songs started from their ideas, and some of them even work on the beats.”

Then they chose IU, Pentagon’s Hui, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, and MAMAOO as the best composers among idol groups.
