BTS has created yet another history by topping the Billboard’s “HOT 100” chart.

According to Billboard, BTS topped “HOT 100” with their new song “Dynamite.” The “Hot 100” is the music industry standard record chart published weekly by Billboard magazine. Chart rankings are based on radio plays, sales data, and streaming data.

BTS is the first Korean artist to top this chart. Psy was ranked second for seven consecutive weeks with “Gangnam Style” in 2012, but he could not make it to the top.

BTS’s previous best performance on the Billboard “HOT 100” was fourth place recorded by the title track “ON” released in February this year.

Each of the BTS members also expressed their joy and gratitude by writing various comments on Twitter and Weverse.

“I just talked with Suga, but thank you and thank you, ARMY. I’m so sorry but I don’t know what to write. Can’t stop crying.”

“I can’t sleep cause I can’t believe this.”

“I’m still baffled, but you guys (ARMY) made this happen and you will be congratulated, and I hope you are as happy as this record. Thank you and thank you.”

“Throwing punches in the air.”

Meanwhile, at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, BTS took home all four awards they were nominated for – Best Group as well as Best K-Pop, Best Pop, and Best Choreography – with their song “ON.”
