The scene of the first table read of Tale of the Nine Tailed, starring Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Bum, has been revealed.
Tale of the Nine Tailed is a fantasy action romance drama between gumiho, who settled in the city, and a producer who chases urban myths for her show. Through the fascinating and brutal love story between a woman and gumiho, it is expected to present the most oriental fantasy action romance with outstanding visuals and sequences that have never been seen anywhere.
Actors, including Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Bum, Kim Yong Ji, Hwang Hee, Kim Jeong Nan, and Ahn Gil Gang, have completed a fantastic lineup, heralding the birth of a one “fantastic” drama.
Lee Dong Wook plays the role of gumiho Lee Yeon, a mountain god of Baekdudaegan who settled in the city, leading to the beauty of fantasy romance with his chic attitude and irresistible charisma. Jo Bo Ah takes on the role of Nam Ji Ah, a talented television producer who is working on a show that features urban myths. Kim Bum will play Lee Rang, Lee Yoon’s step-brother who is reputed to be the most dangerous of all gumihos living among humans despite being a half-human.
At the table read, with the fast-tempo dialogue coming and going, the actors even improvised ad-libs, turning the scene into a pleasant laugh.
The production team said, “With a unique way speaking, Tale of the Nine Tailed is an oasis-like piece that will satisfy the thirst of viewers who have been thirsty for fresh dramas. In the second half of 2020, it will bring laughter and emotion with the constantly changing tension, just like gumiho, who is capable of diverse fun and transformation.”
Meanwhile, Tale of the Nine Tailed will premiere in October.
