YG’s new rookie boy group TREASURE passed 150 thousand stock pre-orders for their first single album.
Despite the fact that TREASURE has not debuted yet, the group surpassed this amount in only four days. TREASURE broke a debut album pre-order record among YG Entertainment group.
YG Entertainment revealed in an official statement, “Due to a surge in pre-orders in Japan and China, we decided to produce 50 thousand more copies of ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ over the weekend.” Last week, TREASURE reached 100 thousand stock pre-orders after just two days since pre-orders opened.
The label continued, “Although there are high numbers of pre-orders in China, Korea, and Japan, there are also sales coming from various countries like the United States, those in South East Asia, and more. Thanks to this, we are recognizing TREASURE’s global popularity.”
TREASURE is YG Entertainment’s first rookie group in four years since the debut �of BLACKPINK. The group consists of Choi Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Yoon Jaehyuk, Asahi, Bang Yedam, Doyoung, Haruto, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan.
TREASURE is set to be the new “monster rookies” of 2020. The accumulated views of the group’s YouTube channel, which currently has 1.34 million subscribers, already passed 100 million views.
YG Entertainment is currently releasing teaser images ahead of the group’s official debut.
TREASURE will debut with their first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ on August 7th at 6:00 PM KST.
