BTS member V’s self-composed song “Sweet Night” broke a new record after topping iTunes Top Song Charts in 112 countries. This feat was achieved 135 days after the song’s release.

“Sweet Night” is a self-composed and self-written OST track for the popular drama Itaewon Class, starring V’s close friend Park Seo Joon.

V quickly broke singer Adele’s record, whose song “Hello” topped iTunes charts in 102 countries.

Fans are reminded of V’s video message to himself in 2015 following this huge accomplishment: “Today is July 20th, 2015. Right now, a future-me is watching this video. What are you doing right now? Right now I’m taking pictures [in Chicago] but in a year, you’re probably going to be experiencing huge success right?”

5 years after the video message, V broke a world record.
