TVXQ’s Changmin Is Tying the Knot on September 5

TVXQ‘s Changmin announced that he is getting married on September 5.

Changmin’s agency, SM Entertainment, announced on June 12 that Changmin will marry his girlfriend on September 5.

According to the agency, all details about the wedding, including the venue and time, will be kept private in consideration of the non-celebrity bride-to-be and her family.

They also wrote, “Changmin will continue to perform as a member of TVXQ and an artist without any changes. Please congratulate Chang Min, who is about to start a new chapter in his life.”

Earlier in the day, Changmin personally announced his marriage through a hand-written letter that he posted on his fan club community Lysn.

In it, he wrote, “I have had a good relationship with the woman I love with trust and faith in one another, and naturally, I decided that I want to continue my life together with her, so we decided to get married in September when the heat cools down.”

He then added, “Through this letter, I once again express my sincere gratitude to U-Know, who supported my decision and was thrilled for me, and our agency staff who gave me their sincere advice.”

“Hello, this is TVXQ’s Changmin.

There’s something I want to tell my fans personally, so I am collecting the courage to write this letter. It’s not something I can say easily, so I am very nervous right now as I write each word. On the one hand, I am heavy-hearted and apologetic, thinking that my sudden announcement will sock and maybe upset some fans who always support me with great love. However, I felt that it was my duty to share the news of such a major event of my life with my own words rather than through the words of others.

About 17 years have passed since I made my debut as a singer. During that time, a high school student who was naive and clumsy at everything has now become a man in his mid-30s. For almost half of my life, I lived as a member of TVXQ. Looking back, there was a time when I and Yunho, as well as fans, were swept up in uncertainty about what will happen to TVXQ, but I was able to grow up to this point because fans protected TVXQ and sent such amazing affection. Thank you so much.

As you are aware from the previous report, I am currently in a relationship with a woman.
