Song Min Ho visited a club in Yangyang, Gangwon Province, on May 3. The club opened on May 1 and provided a shuttle service between Seoul and Yangyang on May 1 and 2.

Song Min Ho got on stage and held impromptu performances at the club. He grabbed a microphone in the DJ box and sang his hit song “FIANCÉ.” With his surprise appearance, the club quickly heated up. People gathered around the singer, and most of them, including Song Min Ho, was placing the masks on their jaws.

On May 12, the club told Dispatch that Song Min Ho only visited the club on his way to someplace else and emphasized that only few customers were present at the scene. They also added, “Since it was the end of the holidays, there were practically no customers. Most of them were acquaintances of Song Min Ho.”

However, it is hard to avoid criticism for turning a blind eye to “keeping social distance.” The day he got on stage was in the middle of holidays, the period when the government especially highlighted the COVID-19 advisories.

In fact, the COVID-19 linked to the Itaewon club broke out during the same period. Park Gyuri, a former member of KARA, is now heavily under fire for visiting the Itaewon club.

Meanwhile, infections in the Itaewon cluster is spreading even more. So far, the number of confirmed cases related to Itaewon clubs is 101.
