MONSTA X will postpone its comeback for two weeks due to Shownu’s health problems.
According to the group’s agency, Starship Entertainment, the release of MONSTA X’s new album, FANTASIA X, has been delayed for two weeks to May 26.
Shownu recently had a backache while practicing the choreography ahead of his comeback and visited the hospital for a thorough examination. Diagnosis has shown that routine activities are possible, but any form of extreme activities or dance moves should be avoided. Now, Shownu is undergoing intensive treatments for a quick recovery, and it has been said that symptoms have improved a lot.
Judging that the comeback schedule could affect Shownu’s recovery, the group and the agency decided to follow the doctor’s order and postpone the official comeback date.
Starship Entertainment said, “We decided to postpone the release of the new album to prioritize the health and condition of the artist and ensure that there are no problems with future activities.”
Shownu will focus on treatment for the time being, and continue only light schedule. MONSTA X officially adjusted the release date of FANTASIA X to May 26.
