The movie industry, which hit a rocky patch due to the recent coronavirus pandemic, is starting to make efforts to revitalize the scene. In particular, the movies that were scheduled to film overseas resumed filming at home, enlivening the movie industry.
Film Negotiation (literal translation), starring Hwang Jung Min and Hyun Bin, will start filming this weekend. It depicts the story of a diplomat and a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent struggling to save the abducted Koreans in the Middle East. Originally, the plan was to start filming in Jordan last month, but due to the spread of COVID-19, all schedules have been canceled. But judging that it can no longer be delayed, the production team decided to start filming in Korea.
In addition, film Bogota (literal translation), starring Song Joong Ki �and Lee Hee Joon, returned home on March 24 after canceling the further filming in Colombia. The film is about young people who emigrated to Colombia in the 1990s. After undergoing rearrangement period, the production team will soon resume filming in Korea.
