On April 1, the upcoming movie Search Out, starring Lee Si Eon (one of the regular cast in MBC‘s I Live Alone), Kim Sung Cheol and Heo Ga Yoon (the former member of 4Minute), has postponed its premiere to April 15.

Search Out was originally scheduled to be released on the 9th of this month. However, its premiere has been put off for a week to encourage the moviegoers’ social distancing in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the same day, a case journal video, explaining briefly about the serial suicide cases in Search Out, has been shared online as a part of the promotions for the movie. In the released video, Sung Min (Lee Si Eon) and Joon Hyuk (Kim Sung Cheol) personally trace a questionable suicide case with the help of Nuri (Heo Ga Yoon). Unfortunately, the three main characters soon become other targets of the evil social media-linked crimes.

This film is based on the “Blue Whale Challenge,” an infamous social network game dating back to 2016, that led the youths in more than 20 countries to a series of suicide. Besides its shocking but true motif, Search Out is also raising expectations with its thrilling chasing and action scenes.
