Honest Candidate, the latest hit comedy starring Ra Mi Ran as one-top lead role, has surpassed its break-even point (1.5 million viewers) in a month since its release on the back of the compliments from various generations.
According to the recent counts by the KOREA Box-office Information System (KOBIS), run by Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the film attracted total 1.5 million and 1 moviegoers to the theatres as of 10:40 a.m. on March 16, KST. Among the Korean movies released this year, only two works, Hitman: Agent Jun (released on January 22) and Honest Candidate (released on February 12), have hit their break-even points in the aftermath of the spread of COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus).
In addition to Ra Mi Ran’s best comic acting in her life, a great chemistry between her and other supporting actors, including Kim Moo Yeol and Na Moon Hee made the pleasant and humorous scenes in this movie that were praised by people of all ages.
