Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, who recently suffered her father’s passing, expressed her longing for her father and thanked those who comforted her.
On March 13, Taeyeon posted a lengthy message on her Instagram which begins with “I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who suported and consoled me on March 9, 2020.”
She wrote, “I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported and consoled me on March 9, 2020. More people than I could imagine reached out to me to send me their warm hugs and kindness. I will embrace all of your love and comfort inside me and continue moving forward.
For those who came to see me in a heartbeat, and those who sent their condolences from far away, I hope you will all understand that I am thankful to each and every one, even I couldn’t reach every single one of you personally.
I think that March 9 will become a day that my family and I will never forget. My father was with me since the first day that I first started music. He would be waiting in the car first for his daughter. Even now, I’m sure that he is somewhere, taking care of all of us. I’m sure he’s watching us from a good place.
Lastly, I want to thank all of those who worried for me and did their best for me, and Dad! I love you so very very much.”
Meanwhile, the release of Taeyeon’s new digital single Happy has been postponed until further notice.
