‘Itaewon Class’ Timeline of Park Seo Joon’s Revenge

Park Seo Joon is preparing for his final counterattack in JTBC’s Itaewon Class. The tension between Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon) and Jang Dae Hee (Yoo Jae Myung) is drawing keen attention. The fierce battle between Park and Jang with attempts to destroy each other’s “beliefs” and “power” has been going on for 10 years. Their ill-fated relationship, in particular, has led to a showdown between a “Jangga” and “Danbam,” further increasing the size of the revenge. Jang Geun Won (Ahn Bo Hyun), who killed Park’s father after his hit-and-run accident, hid the truth by hiding behind his father, and Park was unjustly sentenced to prison for attempted murder. Park developed his dream of opening a store by reading the entire autobiography of Jang in prison. When he heard the word “revenge” as he explained his plan to Oh Soo Ah (Kwon Nara), Park’s realized what he truly wanted. Soon after his release from prison, Park visited Itaewon to meet Oh. The atmosphere in Itaewon, where style, freedom, and diversity coexist, instantly captivated him, and Park immediately expressed his strong ambition to open his own shop in Itaewon seven years later. While Oh did not believe the foolishly reckless plan, Park makes his dream come true as he opened his store “Danbam” in Itaewon. Choi Seung Kwon (Ryu Kyung Soo), Ma Hyun Yi (Lee Joo Young), and Jo Yi Seo (Kim Dami) joined the team, putting together a perfect piece of the puzzle. Park set out to strengthen the foundation of his revenge with Danbam on the stage.

Park has been preparing for a powerful “punch” for a very long time. As the fact that he invested all of the money he received from his father’s life insurance policy in stocks at Jangga, was revealed, Park became the holder of 1.9 billion KRW worth of shares, which equals to 1% of the company. Realizing that Park is aiming for his position, he went to see Park. Facing each other for the first time in 10 years, the tension between them highlighted the episode. While Park promises to cooperate with director Kang Min Jeong (Kim Hye Eun) to bring down Jang, Jang again jeopardized Park’s plan by buying the building in which Park’s store is opened.

Now the battle between Park and Jang is more than just a battle of their ill-fated relationships. To destroy Jang, Park needs to bring down Jang’s company Jangga. So Danbam, which started as a small restaurant, remarkable growth by becoming the I.C. Corporation. The competition between Jangga and Danbam to top the restaurant industry has shifted to the cooking competition program, “The Strongest Pocha.” In the 12th episode, Jang Keun Soo (Kim Dong Hee) reveals that Ma, the cook of Danbam, is in fact transgender to stop her from winning the competition. However, the episode ended with Ma going on the stage once again with the heartfelt support of her fellow workers, adding the curiosity to the showdown.
