So Ji Sub Joins Donation Relay to Fight against COVID-19

So Ji Sub has also participated in a relay of donations to overcome COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus).

According to the exclusive report by the Korean daily sports newspaper Ilgan Sports on March 6, So Ji Sub contributed KRW 300 million in donations to Good Neighbors, an international relief and development NGO. His donations will be used to not only provide protective gears and daily necessaries to the medical teams, but also support living expenses of the immunity-vulnerable class, such as children and seniors, and low-income families.

The actor, who’s been called “So Ganji” by fans (“ganji” originates from a Japanese word “感じ” (kanji), which means feeling/vibe), has made huge influences on society by his good deeds for a long time. In 2017, So Ji Sub entered the membership list of The Neighbors Club, a gathering of highly paying contributors for Good Neighbors, as he donated the profits (KRW 100 million) from his Asian fan meeting to the charity. Even the fan meeting was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut!
