Actress Han Hye Jin and her soccer-player-husband Ki Sung Yueng, who transferred to the RCD (Real Club Deportivo) Mallorca team in Spanish La Liga late last month, recently contributed KRW 100 million in donations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus) and overcome the relevant damages.

On March 5, the married couple delivered their donations to the Korean branch of World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, to provide preventive items quickly to those who are in need. Although they now live in Spain, far away from Korea, Han and Ki are said to have decided to donate after learning the news about the underprivileged children and the medical teams who’ve been suffering from COVID-19.

Their donations will be used to purchase test kits of respiratory diseases and emergency food supplies for the underprivileged children as well as 3,500 pairs of protective clothing for the medical staff in Daegu. 1,000 pairs of protective clothing have been already supplied to the point-of-care by the Medical Association in the city of Daegu and Suseong-gu Office, and the rest 2,500 pairs are being provided to several local hospitals.

Han Hye Jin and Ki Sung Yueng have constantly made good influences on society by doing good deeds in various ways since their marriage. Their donations this time are even more special and touching because they’ve just moved to Spain and been trying to adapt themselves to the unfamiliar country.
