The final winners of the Competition section at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival is being announced in the evening this Saturday, the day before the end of the festival (March 1).

According to the Korean news website OSEN today (Feb. 26, KST), the winners of all awards such as the Golden Bear (the highest prize for the best film), Jury Grand Prix, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Script is being officially made public at 7 p.m. on the 29th (in local time). This decision is unusual because most film festivals announce their own results on the day of closing ceremonies.

By the way, director Hong Sang Soo‘s new film The Woman Who Ran (starring his fellow actress and girlfriend Kim Min Hee again) was nominated on the Competition section at the Berlin International Film Festival this year. The movie is somewhat likely to win an award as Hong’s previous hits often did so at Berlin, but nobody knows the results until this Saturday.
