Many people were in high suspicions that BIG BANG‘s Daesung had been signing contracts in alleged illegal businesses in his Gangnam building that he had purchased back in 2017 before his military enlistment, which provided prostitution services.
However, it was reported on January 2nd, that the singer had been cleared of illegal business suspicions that arose from his controversial building. Daesung was questioned in December of 2019 as a witness, and he testified that he knew nothing of the illegal activities that were occurring in the building. The police were also unable to find any evidence to charge him with.
Though Daesung has been freed from his suspicions, the police will forward another group of 56 people who were connected with 5 illegal businesses that ran from the building on the charges of violating the Anti-Prostitution Act and Food Sanitation Act.
