K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY is set to go head-to-head with their management agency ATTRAKT in a lawsuit to terminate their contract in July.
According to Starnews today, the Seoul Central District Court has scheduled a hearing on July 5th for the contract suspension injunction filed by FIFTY FIFTY against ATTRAKT.
Earlier, the legal representatives of FIFTY FIFTY stated, “I filed an injunction at the Seoul Central District Court on June 19th to suspend the effect of their exclusive contract.” He added, “The lawsuit is ongoing. This action is in response to ATTRAKT’s breach of contract and the ensuing breakdown of trust.”
The attorney repeatedly stressed, “This is a decision that the members have made autonomously and unanimously without any external intervention.”
However, ATTRAKT claimed, “We have already gathered tangible proof of the blatant attempts to illegally poach members of FIFTY FIFTY.” The company also filed a complaint against The Givers, with whom they had signed a service contract, alleging that they “delayed handing over their work and deleted the company’s email accounts.”
ATTRAKT further accused The Givers of “obstruction of work by deleting project-related documents, destruction of electronic records, fraud, and breach of trust in the course of their work.”
