BTS’ “Butter” adds a sixth week atop the Billboard’s main singles chart, ‘Hot 100.’
On 6th (local time), Billboard announced that BTS’ “Butter,” released on May 21st, topped ‘Hot 100′ (July 10th) for six weeks straight. After making the so-called ‘hotshot debut,’ meaning they’ve dominated the ‘Hot 100′ chart since June 5th, they managed to add one more week atop the chart.
Billboard referred to MRC data and explained, “The track “Butter,” released on HYBE/BigHit Music/Columbia Records, drew 11 million U.S. streams, down 11%, and sold 153,600 (downloads, cassette, and vinyl combined), up 20%, in the week ending July 1, according to MRC Data. It also attracted 28.3 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 2%, in the week ending July 4.”
BTS also topped the “Digital Song Sales” chart for six consecutive weeks from the first week of entry.
