Recently labeled as a “controversy icon,” Han So Hee has revealed in a new magazine interview that she’s working to develop “responsible honesty” moving forward.
Harper’s Bazaar Korea has unveiled their April 2025 cover featuring Han So Hee in a stunning shoot themed “21st Century Goddess.” The elegant spread showcases the actress in black and neutral-colored dresses across three distinct covers, each capturing a different facet of her goddess-like presence.
In the candid interview following the photoshoot, the actress shared personal insights and updates about her life.

When discussing her evolving perspective on beauty, she explained: “Doesn’t it change every year? Lately I’ve realized that beauty isn’t just about visual appearances. As the saying goes, ‘You need a beautiful heart,’ it’s more about mindset, or rather, physical strength. So instead of ‘I’m so tired today, I can’t do anything,’ it’s become ‘I can’t do anything, so I’ll take some vitamins and get some rest.’ When you lack energy on set, it inevitably affects those around you. My current standard of beauty is trying not to transfer my difficulties to others.”
Han also discussed her upcoming film Project Y. “When I first chose this movie, I thought this was something I could only film at this age, with this appearance. Neither five years younger nor five years older would work—only now, with this mix of boldness and appropriate maturity. I felt it was a once-in-a-lifetime project,” she began. “And while (Jeon) Jong Seo and I became really good friends, when we started the project, I couldn’t help but think about how to showcase our chemistry. I was confident that we matched well and could maximize the synergy between two actresses of the same generation. I have a strong desire to prove that through this work.”

When asked about what new narrative she would like to create for herself beyond what people typically associate with her name, Han responded: “I think I’m just a very honest person. No matter how much I think about it. And I believe responsibility is definitely needed for problems that stem from that honesty. Because there are fans, friends, and people who listen to what I say. I’m working hard to learn responsible honesty.”
