The mole, identified as a conjunctival nevus, occurs when melanin cells accumulate excessively on the sclera, the white part of the eye. Typically appearing near the iris, this benign spot often develops over time and is usually found in one eye. While it doesn’t affect vision, cause discomfort, or pose health risks, some individuals opt for removal for cosmetic reasons. Common procedures include laser treatment or chemical peels, both of which are quick, typically taking 5 to 10 minutes, and carry minimal side effects.
Photos shared by Suzy on her social media previously showed the visible mole, but at the Celine Flagship Store opening event in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, on November 28th, Suzy appeared with a perfectly clear sclera, catching the attention of fans and media alike. On December 1st, OSEN confirmed that Suzy had undergone the procedure.
