ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo recently revealed his touching support for Moon Sua, the younger sister of his late bandmate Moonbin, in an emotional moment on MBC’s King of Mask Singer aired October 27th.
Moon Sua, a member of the group Billlie, appeared on the show under the alias “Pancake” but was unmasked after the first round. During her interview, she surprised the audience by sharing, “I trained for 12 years,” surpassing other industry veterans like TWICE’s Jihyo and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.
Making her return to full group promotions after a 1-year-and-7-month hiatus, Moon Sua said, “It’s been a long time since I performed solo, so I was nervous even with the mask on, but hearing compliments about my voice means so much to me.”
Host Kim Sung Joo then introduced a video message from a close friend, prepared in case Moon Sua had progressed to the next round. In the video, Cha Eun Woo warmly stated, “Pancake is like a little sister to me; she’s family. Like layers in a pancake, she’s a multi-talented all-rounder, capable in dance, singing, rap, and hosting.” In response, Moon Sua expressed her gratitude, saying, “He takes good care of me and is always supportive.”
Following her brother Moonbin’s passing in April of last year, Moon Sua took a brief hiatus from performing but recently returned to the stage with Billlie, strengthened by the enduring support of ASTRO members who have treated her like family.
